Multiple train stations in Nice?
I was trying to find a train from Nice to santa Margherita ligure. When I typed in Nice into a couple of the schedule websites(Railsaver), it gave me the option for: Nice Ville, Nice Riquier, Nizza, and Nice St. Augustin. Which one is best option if we are flying into the Nice airport and catching a train as soon as possible?
Also, any idea which one of these is the same as GK7 - Railway station Gare. That is where I am picking up an Avis rental car when we return to Nice a week later. thanks |
Nice Ville is the main station. Nice Riquier is a local station to the northeast of the city center. Nice St Augustin is a local station near the airport. Nizza is simply Italian for Nice.

"Bus links are also available from the airport to Nice Ville train station, 6 miles (10 km) away and St Laurent du Var station, just under 2 miles (3 km) away, while Nice St Augustin station is a 10-minute walk from Terminal 1 (500 metres)."
You can take a train from Nice-St-Augustin to the Italian border town of Ventimiglia (Ventimille in French), where you change train. Usually another change in Genova/Genua. Timetable on www.rail.ch, www.trenitalia.com or www.sncf.fr. |
There is a map of the airport on http://www.nice.aeroport.fr/acces_st...s/trafic_r.asp

Thanks for the clarification!
