multi destinations

I am traveling to Prague in October on business and wanted to take a few days before to enjoy other parts of Europe.

I want to visit London, Paris, Munich, Venice and then Prague. I’m trying to connect to all by air, but I am having a hard time connecting Venice to Munich. Any suggestions?

This is what I have so far:
London to Paris
Paris to Venice
Venice to Munich?
Munich to Prague via train (is there a cheap flight from Munich to Prague?)
Prague to London

All are flexible except for Prague, it must by my final destination.

Anyone have a better arrangement?

How many is a "few days"? Those are a lot of places to visit and you lose about 1/2 day for travel from one to the next. You can check:
www.whichbudget.com

for flights, it searches a bunch of airlines. I looked up Venice to Munich and I don't see an airline that flies that route. You can get to other German cities from Venice though - like Frankfurt. And this is a long train ride. I don't see flights between Munich and Prague either. Good luck! It looks like you have some big decisions to make!

I agree.

London is only a lay over to Paris.
I'll be in Europe for 20 days.

The other route that looks possible is:

London to Venice
Venice to Paris
Paris to Munich
Munich to Prague – by train

This last plan looks fairly sound. Are you traveling solo? If so, then I'm not sure I can improve on it.

If you have a traveling companion, then a rental car alternative would be

London to Venice, Venice to Paris as you have it. Then...

Paris to Prague

Rent car when "done with" Prague, drive in a circle Prague-Munich and return. The chief advantage of doing it this way would be to see some of the smaller towns and rural Germany/CR. Your itinerary is over-weighted with cities, for my taste.

Best wishes,

Rex

You must love big cities. With 20 days in Europe in October I would spend half of it in small towns in areas of great natural beauty. The Austrian lakes come to mind.
