ggnga or anyone--can you get me caught up on Coupling? The last episode our local stations aired was Susan's dinner party where Sally blurted out that she loved Patrick. They have been running repeats ever since. Is Jeff really gone? I would miss him and his social missteps, and of course, CAPTAIN SUBTEXT.

We did have Father Ted here, followed by My Hero, same actor, replaced Wating for G-d. Vicar of Dibly was replaced by Best of the Summer Wine, which I just can't get through.
As Time Goes By might be an underuse of Judi Dench's considerable skills, but it was my introduction to her. They make that whole household and family look so natural and easy, that I am thinking of buying a boxed set of the series. I just like it so as a gentle slice of life, with some pretty good laughs.

Yes, the character Geoff is not in the latest series, but I notice they write in some typically insane lines for him when other characters have phone conversations with him.

Back to the top because this is so FUN!

crepes_a_go_go, Joanna Lumley (Patsy) is quite famous in the UK. (even before AB-FAB)

Does anyone know if Jennifer Saunders and Dawn French are still collaberating as a team. (I love AB-FAB as much as the Vicar of Dibley)

French and Saunders continue to churn out the 'Christmas Special'. I am a fan of both these fab ladies but their Special last year was bad - they seem pushed for new material IMHO.

Vicar of Dibley is a scream - love the Easter Bunny episode...

What an enjoyable thread. It is great to see as many people enjoy Britash comedies as I do.

Whoops - correction - British.

Fans of Patricia Routledge who are planning to be in London this fall may be interested to know that she's going to appear in a revival of The Solid Gold Cadillac, a play by George S. Kaufman and Howard Teichman. (Some of you may remember the movie version, which starred Judy Holliday). Previews start on September 22, and it's scheduled to run until January 15.
