Moving to Tuscany

Hello Everybody,

We have decided to buy a property in Tuscany as a second/holiday home and need all the advice we can get. If anyone out there has any experience I would appreciate it to share it with us .
Thanks to anyone who can lend an experienced hand to us
Cheers,

This would be good for starters:

there are a lot of regulations and hassles to get through and this is a good resource for help and advice

Lucky you!

You might also look up slowtrav.com.

Remember that you can only stay 90 days in the E.U. in a 180 day period without a visa. And visa's are difficult to get for those seeking residency.

Do you need to work, either employment or self-employment? Assuming you don't have EU citizenship, it will be much more difficult than those who are self-sufficient, with pensions and investment income so no need to work in Italy. There is a blog of someone who has just moved to Italy from US on a retirement non-working visa.
