Moving to Spain
I will be moving to Palma Del Rio to teach English. Is it reasonable to live in Cordoba and commute to Palma Del Rio? I will not have a car and will have to rely on public transportation. I would appreciate any input as I am trying to plan a little bit before I head over there in August.

Great. Thanks for the info. Is there any other insight anyone can give re: living in Palma del Rio vs Cordoba?

Córdoba is much larger and offers a more varied nightlife. It also has a few more restaurants to choose from.

I looked up driving directions on Google Maps, MKT, and it takes 54 minutes by car. I'm not sure I would want to be at the tender mercies of the Spanish bus system for a couple of hours each day. Makes for a long work day.
You would be wise to follow that lovely Spanish proverb, "¡Que bueno es no hacer nada y descansar después! "How beautiful it is to do nothing --- and to rest afterwards!" |
