Moving to Berlin - Is this a Good Thing?

I've recently been assigned to Berlin for the next 3 years. I have traveled a good deal though other parts of Europe but never to Germany. I know a lot of you are familiar with Berlin so anything (good or bad) you wish to share with me about the city I would love to hear it! Thanks!
Berlin is a vast, diverse, exciting, pulsating, cultured modern city. I don't know you personally, but I would say that Berlin has something to offer (almost) anyone in the world.

Berlin is as [email protected] said. You will have a great time and it is so close to so many places to visit--Dresden, 2hours; Prague, 4 hours; Vienna, Krakow, etc. The people are friendly, the culture excellent, food is very good, history is great.

Berlin is not the most beautiful place in the world, but that's changing with all the construction (scaffolding on every building). I think it would be an amazing experience considering the historical aspects of the city and the people who are there to share their experiences and compare pre- and post-cold war.

You're close to so many other diverse towns, countries and cultures.

If you don't go, I'd gladly take your place.
