Moulin Rouge show
Hi! I have booked myself in to watch a show at the Moulin Rouge - has anyone seen it? Is it worth going to? Thanks

Hello Jade,

I think its worth it - quite beautiful costumes (and other bits). It's a spectacle, and much classier than some of the other shows in Paris.

Hi Jade:

I agree with Dave. We went for dinner and had a table on the side of the dance floor right near the stage. We were able to dance between courses and before the show. I came home with a feather that fell off a dancer's costume.

The bus tour people came in later and were seated way up in the 2nd and 3rd balconies.

We enjoyed ourselves and expect you will too. Thanks for the feedback Jim, I don't suppose you can tell me if dinner was 'good'? - I have heard a few reports that the food is very average and so only booked ourselves in for the show.

Jade:The dinner was better than an airline meal although I have had a better meal.

I think having dinner at the Moulin Rouge was worth it for the much better seating, the earlier arrival and the enjoyment of listening to the orchestra and the dancing before the show. Jim

Hi Jade, My friend and I did go to the Moulin Rouge. We really enjoyed the show, actually liked the second acts as well as the performance. The food wasn't great and if we were to go again would not have dinner. The one thing we didn't realize is the location of the Moulin Rouge I don't believe you want to be wandering about late at night. We stood in front of the Moulin Rouge for over an hour trying to hail a Taxi, (our mistake, we didn't know you have to go to a taxi stand). The do not stop. We were rescued buy a nice French man that walked us about two block to get a taxi. Enjoy you trip.
