Moulin Rouge

Anyone been to the dinner and show there?

I'll be a third party, and summarize what I have read here (I have been to Paradis Latin)...meal is overpriced, so if you plan on going, eat elsewhere and go to a late show.

As for the show...expect to see lots of tourists.

It trades on the image of..if in Paris, it is one of THE places to go, but those days are gone...a last remaining remnant of the Paris that was...dinner at Maxim's, Moulin Rouge, etc..

I've been to one cabaret, I've checked it off my list.

But people here do go (along with Crazy Horse, Lido) and have enjoyed. So if it is really one of your dreams...

I've been there a couple of times for the show only, but not lately. General consensus on this board is:

If you go to the show, have dinner somewhere else. ((b))

Las Vegas style show with quite bad and expensive food. If, for some reason, you want to see it - definitle eat elsewhere. But - really no need to see it unless you're mad for that type of vaudeville show.

I haven't been dinner there, but saw the show. I wasn't really impressed. Yeah, I had a good time because I traveled with a fun crew and it was cool to see the famous building, but don't expect to see the most amazing show on earth.

Didn't have dinner but saw the show and even at that, was amazed at how expensive it is for something so incredibly boring and tacky. Will never go back and when friends come over to Europe to visit and I meet them in Paris I refuse to go, I prefer ballet or things like U2 concerts or even Riverdance at Bercy.

Have been to the show; did not have the meal.

production values for the show were better than I expected them to be.

They enforce their dress code (i.e., no shorts).

Hi J,

One more vote: If you must go, skip the dinner.

Also, no anything that might look like a sneaker/tennis shoe. ((b))
