going to Paris for the 2nd time in July. skipped the Moulin Rouge the first time on the advise of the travel agent. Wondering if we should do it this time and if we should do the dinner or just the show?

Claudia - 2friends and I just returned from our first trip to Paris. We weren't going to go to the Moulin Rouge, heard it was tacky, etc.....but we decided to take the Illuminations/Moulin Rouge evening tour and was very pleasantly surprised. We didn't have dinner, just the show, but we thought the music, dancing, juggler, acrobats, ventriloquist,were great. Perhaps I don't have "good taste" but I was more entertained with the Moulin Rouge show than the EXPENSIVE shows in Las Vegas - all hype, mediocre show. Good luck!

I have been to Paris many times and never been to the Moulin Rouge, Lido, etc. <BR> <BR>I gather that if you like Las Vegas shows, you will enjoy this. <BR> <BR>As for me, I will be in Paris for a week in August, and I have no plans to do this kind of thing. Please remember that it is your vacation, and YOU need to do what makes YOU happy.

If it's something you always wanted to do, do it. Reports have varied. Some people liked the whole thing, others liked the show but said skip dinner, others didn't care for it at all. I get the feeling that if you don't take the whole thing too seriously, if you want a different experience, and you haven't been to lot of the Las Vegas shows you'll have a good time. Hi Claudia, <BR>If you're curious about the show, by all means, go. However, don't bother dining there. My best friend & her husband said that the "diners" who attended the show reported a mediocre experience & the $50 would have been better spent at a restaurant like Le Train Bleu, or another of their choice. <BR>Bon Voyage! <BR>Kathy
