motor homing in wales
 

2 adults and 2 dogs thinking of hiring a motor home to travel from Cardiff to North Wales, any recommendations on good camp sites , must see places?

Looking to travel end of June beginning of July hopefully some nice warm weather in sunny Wales.

Also first time motor home hirers in the UK done RV's many time in the US and Canada, so any advice would be helpful.

Are your dogs coming with you from the US or Canada? Or do you live in the UK? Hopefully you've checked out that you can bring them in to the UK if you live elsewhere. Also check that the motorhome company will allow dogs in them.

Driving and parking in the UK is very different from in the US. Space is at a premium in the UK, often nowhere to pull off the road, parking can be difficult and roads narrow.

Don't count on sunny weather in Wales though you may be lucky. On our trips there it always rained which seemed typical of all our trips within the UK.

If you like books then Hay-on-Wye is a must.

One of your older posts says that you live in Cardiff, so I wouldn't have thought that you'd need much of a heads up on travelling to N Wales.

How much ground have you covered in Wales itself, and are you familiar with the geography? To find campsites, either join the caravan club or have a look at their website for pointers.

Good suggestion on joining the caravan club, camp sites are what we could do with a bit of advice on.

Sorry Kay my post was a bit misleading, as I live in UK but never done any motorhoming in my own country! Done plenty abroad tho so thought it tome to tour my own country.
