motor home rental/ buyback

We are planning a trip in Europe next year and are just looking at our options for travelling. does anyone know of a good buyback scheme in campervans. We can't outlay a huge amount of money on the buying. I just looked at a site for VW camper hire in Germany Tour-de Europe just wondering how good their vans are as they are quite old and if the company is trustworthy.

Depending on how long you are planning to stay (bearing in mind the 90 day Schengen rule) it could be cheaper to rent a camper. There are companies who rent out older (5 years+) campers, for a lot less than a newish model will cost. They are then also responsible for any breakdowns which occur.
Buy back would be worth it if you are staying the full 90 days, but if it is only 3-4 weeks I'd consider one of the rental firms instead.

You'd need to confirm with your vehicle insurance about driving in specific countries.

You would need to check with whomever you buy your camper from. They hold the title and insurance on the vehicle.
Croatia should be OK, but I don't know about Turkey.

Have a look at www.happy-camper.eu/as well as dutchcampervans mentioned above.

Oh and there is also www.bwcampers.com

Make sure you have health care insurance and good theft insurance for your trip too. Many normal travel insurance policies won't cover such a long trip.
