motor coaches

I need a good leg room in a motor coach when doing land tours. I'm considering Tauck to Central Europe. Can someone tell me please how much leg room is in Tauck coaches?
I just travelled to Europe with another tour company but not satisfied with their itineraries.
I read good reviews about Tauck but no mention of seat pitch.
I also want to know if I could have a choice of dining with my wife. I don't really like being hauled in a group dining at all times.

I'd appreciate any reply.
Thanks,

You would have to call Tauck and ask about the seat pitch but I suspect most tours use similar buses and there will be no room to stretch your legs.

Of course you have a choice to have dinner alone with your wife. Just because there is a group meal there is no requirement that you attend. It's a bus tour, not prison!

If you mean will you be able to have the tour provide you and your wife dinner in a separete place from the rest of the group - the answer is no. If you take the tour meal you eat with the group - although usually at several smaller tables not all at one giant table (but do check with Tauck).

Of course you can leave the group and pay for your own dinners elsewhere - my mom has friends who do that - since they don;t like any tour meals. It's just a significant additional expense.

Frankly it sounds like you really don't want a group tour.

Sorry -- Tauck tours usually have fewer than those in which 35 people are squashed on a bus - but don;t know about seat space. Again, you need to check with Tauck (but I've done day tours from a couple of cities and the bus seats were nothing near as tight as plane seats - or small car seats.

If you are truly tall or big - 6'6" or above I don;t think any bus seat will be comfortable. My DH is 6'3" - and we always rent a mid size car or above to avoid squashing. Train seats should have enough room.

Check out Insight Tours. They advertise more legroom and having been on 3 trips with them I can say yes they do have it.
