Motel One in Germany

Has anyone tried the Motel one chain in Germany?

The New York Times mentioned them in an article about Munich and I'm planning a trip to Berlin, Frankfurt and Hannover, all of which cities have Motel Ones.

Never Mind! I just did some research on Tripadvisor and the chain, though hip and clean, offers no phones, no clocks, no shampoo.

They are budget hotels and very basic with very small rooms (standard comparable to Hotel Ibis). Their design is a bit fresher than that of similar low-budget hotel chains.

You might try Priceline for those cities.

I have not stayed there, but looking at several reviews of the chain on TA, I am impressed. I have never seen such overwhelmingly positive reviews and raves for a budget chain. We frequently stay at Etaps, when we can find them, but these look to be a cut higher.
