Most scenic route between Stuttgart and Strasbourg!

Will be driving from Stuttgart to Strasbourg after picking up new car. I think we will stay at the Cour Du Corbeau Hotel in Strasbourg. I have looked at the map and do not have a clue which route is the most beautiful. Please suggest THE route. OK if it does some winding. What would you say are the most interesting towns along the route? A great country restaurant?

Thanks for help.

Thanks Michael. Went to the website and Michelin gives two routes when you enter "Sightseeing".

One they call A8 B36 and heads west/northwest towards Leonberg, Pforzheim, Karlsruhe, Rupporr, Ettlingen, etc.

The other is called B14 B28 and heads south/southwest towards Sindelfingen, Boblingen, Nagold, Freudenstadt, Kehl, etc.

Suggestions?

They are both beautiful routes. It would be hard to pick one. I might opt for the southern route because it goes through some flat land and the mountains too.
OTOH, the northern route would give one a chance to visit Maulbronn and I might be tempted to stop off in Karlsruhe b/c there's a museum I like there.

It's a coin flipper

I'd reinforce the notion of visiting Kloster Maulbronn: It's worth a special trip, and by taking the northern route you get to see it along the way. If you decide to stop over in Karlsruhe, try for a meal at the Oberlander Weinstuben, where the young chef has a Michelin star.
Two excellent reasons to go north!
