Most Scenic Biking in Austria (&Switzerland)?
 

Hi again!!<BR><BR>My husband and I are debating a biking trip to Belgium and the Netherlands, or now Austria (and possibly adding Switzerland). Operaman - thanks for the suggestion!!<BR><BR>Could anyone plese tell me which are the most scenic and &quot;best&quot; biking areas in Austria?<BR><BR>Also, is it too much to combine Switzerland in the trip (we have one week)? <BR><BR>We also plan on doing some sightseeing on this trip, it is not solely a cycling trip. We will be driving from city to city, and different areas.<BR><BR>Thanks again for all of this help - we really appreciate it!! :)

It would be too much to combine Switzeralnd if you only have a week.<BR><BR>I have cycled from FUssen in Germany to Salzbug via Innsbruck &amp; Hallstatt. on another trip, I cycled in the Bad Ischl area. I think the area around Salzburg is nice.<BR><BR>

The Wachau Valley area of Austria offers some of the best biking in Europe. Great paved bike trails along the Danube, passing thru vinyards and tiny villages. It was the highlight of our Austrian trip.
