Most Romantic Spot in Italy!!

Ciao!

My girlfriend and I are taking a trip throughout Italy this summer. We are starting out in the Cinque Terre, then to Siena, Rome, Orvieto, Florence, Ravenna, Venice, Milan, and Bellagio. I am thinking about giving her a Promise Ring while we are on the trip. Where would be the most romantic spot along our trip to do this: A gondola ride in Venice? Walking along the Lake Como under the Italian moon? Your suggestions are greatly appreciated!

2 of my favorite romantic spots are on your list: of course, the gondola in Venice (where my husband gave me a lovely necklace the last time we were there), and the lake area - for me the best spot was the lakeside promenade at Varenna, a short ferry ride from Bellagio - gorgeous by day and by night. The lake area was more private and restful than Venice, but we were there in Oct. - it's much busier in the summer.

If you want to give her the ring earlier in your trip, you might want to look into La Badia Monastery (hotel) just outside of Orvieto. The grounds are beautiful, with 7th-13th century ruins and buildings, including a tower, you can stand by the tower looking up to Orvieto, you are amidst the olive groves and vinyards.

We were there in March, and it was wonderful.
