Most Romantic Hotel in Rothernburg, Germany?
 

What hotel do you believe is the most romantic hotel in Rothenburg and why? Thank you for sharing!

I'm not sure about how romantic this is, but I think they have a honeymoon suite.

I stayed at the Burg Hotel which is located right on the wall of the old city walls. We had a small suite for 150 € per night breakfast included. Beautiful ambience, great food, very clean and lovely owners.

I have heard that the Eisenhut is also very nice. And there is another one whose name escapes me at this time. I'll look at my notes and get back to you.

Okay - it's the Romantik Hotel Markusturm. Looks very nice. Since I went on the trip with my Mom, romance wasn't needed!

I don't know how Romantic it is, but we really enjoyed our stay at the Kloster Stuble. The rooms are great, with heavy wood furniture and nice (albeit small) bathrooms. They have a great restaurant and one of the best breakfasts (included in room rate) that we've had in a hotel.

Not in Rothenburg, but just a few kms. east of the city Burg Colmberg castle hotel did work some magic for the Fireflys.

Stayed at a very nice B&B recommended in one of Rick Steve's books. Central - within the city walls. Romantic? That's more a function of the town rather than the accommodation. By which I mean that simply being in the town at night after all the tourists and tour buses had cleared out, was romantic in itself. When travelling, accomm is merely somewhere you finally retreat to after having exhausted all else - including oneself!

Surroundings are very important, but some accomodations are certainly more romantic than others.

If we ever go back to Rothenburg, we will stay at either the Burg Hotel or Markusturm. We checked both of them out several years back and both were very charming and I would say romantic. Unfortunately, we were cheapskates and stayed at a Rick Steves place.

THE MARKUSTURM HOTEL is great. Centrally located and so scenic it is pictured on many of the etchings of Rothenburg. It is located next to one of the famous watch towers. We had room 121. Both 121 and 120 are on the front of the hotel. Spacious and nice.

We have also stayed at the BURG and REICHS KUCHENMEISTER (old building). Both of these are nice places also. The REICHS has a great restaurant and separate wine stube even if you do not stay there.

Just came back from Germany and in Rothenburg we stayed at the Burghotel. It was lovely - down a little quiet street, but still just a quick and easy walk to the main square, shops, and restaurants. The hotel is built into the old city wall.

Our room was quite large (by European standards) with a sitting area and a 4 poster bed. The bathroom was huge with a big corner tub. We were either in room 8 or 9 (we had 2 rooms, can't remember which we had and which the kids had).

We had dinner at the Markusturm and is looked quite nice as well. About the same distance from the main square but closer to shops and restaurants.

Either one would be special.

My daughter and I stayed in the Markusturm and found it very nice. We ate breakfast and lunch there and enjoyed its central location. Don't miss "The Watchman's Tour". The people at the hotel helped us with this. Sure you will enoy Rothenburg.
