Most romantic hotel In Rome?

My honeymoon is in July and we are looking for a great, romantic hotel in a good location. We booked a room at the Exedra but now I am thinking about changing it because it sounds like it may be a bit out of the way. Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

Check the website for Albergo del Senato and also check its reviews on Trip Advisor. We're staying there for a week this September - have stayed on Piazza della Rotonda in the past but not at this hotel, which looks great. We went for the "room with a view" at 285 euros. What the hell -you only live once (and hopefully only honeymoon once).

There have been a lot of "mixed" reviews on the Raphael, from very, very good - - to very disappointed. There is a considerable assortment of rooms, sizes and "quality" there, it seems.

Best wishes,

Rex

For the benefit of mcwedding-- there is no "most romantic hotel" in Rome. What you perceive is more important that what others might perceive. Still, with that thought in mind, there are a few hotels that have always been recommended as either romantic or just plain luxurious (which some might infer to be romantic). Here are what a supposedly informed traveling public think:
Hassler Villa Medici, Crowne Plaza Minerva, Cavaliere Hilton, Atlante Star, and the Majestic.

Smaller and lower in cost but nice and romantic might be del Senato, Santa Chiara, and d'Ihghilterra.

Also check out the St. Regis Grand. I would skip The Eden and The Hassler. There is a wide variation in room size and charm at both these hotels, and while some of the rooms are amazing, others are barely worth the price of a 3-star.

I have not stayed there, but have had drinks in the courtyard of the Hotel de Russie and observed diners up the hillside of the courtyard with its intimate lighting and a string quartet playing. Can't imagine a more romantic place in Rome.
