Dirty Dicks (yes really) by liverpool st has been tidied up but has pictures of how it was. The Landlord NEVER cleared up and it was legendary for the filth. I wanted to post a link to show you but I put "dirty dicks" into google, and you can imagine how many hits I got!

The Prince of Wales (POW!) In Clapham old town takes some describing. THis is the CAMRA attempt: "Decor: Crazy, crazy, crazy, hardly a place to sit or stand due to the vast amounts of crap hanging everywhere"

Try Comptons on Old Compton Street, Soho. Lots of mean looking, tattooed gay skinheads hanging around outside the door.

I offer the Black Friar at Blackfriars, where else, with rich 1905 Arts and Crafts decor, and the pub just east of the Law Courts on the Strand that used to be a branch of the Bank of England.

Ben Haines, London
