most efficient way to goto interlaken from copenhagen

hi,
please suggest the most efficient way (emphasis on low cost) to go to interlaken from copenhagen.

Well flying has to be the cheapest I would think - go to www.whichbudget.com or www.skyscanner.net to see if any cheapie airlines link Copenhagen with any place in Switzerland - Zurich would be the closest major airport.

Or you can go by train - overnight train leaving Copenhagen at 18:45 and arriving in Basel, Switzerland at 10:30 am - Basel to Interlaken is no more than two hours.

If you can get discounted tickets and are willing to be in a multi-person compartment then the price could be lower than flying if you cannot find a really cheap airline. Go to www.bahn.de/en and look for discounts - but these are sold in limited numbers and can sell out quickly so must be booked in stone weeks or months in advance (no changes nor refunds allowed) - you also save on the cost of a night in a hotel. These are CNL - CityNightLIner trains that are amongst the very best night trains in Europe IME.

For lots of great info on night trains and European trains in general I always spotlight these IMO superb sites - www.seat61.com (great info on discounted tickets); www.ricksteves.com and www.budgeteuropetravel.com.

If you have to pay full fare for the night train it would probbly be more expensive than flying.
