Mosquitoes problem in St. Petersburg
 
Hello All,

Can you tell me more the mosquitoes problem in St. Petersburg?

Is it a serious in Summer time?

How to avoid them when the hotel has no air-conditioning facilities ?

There are mosquitoes in Russia in summer, to avoid them use repellent. They are not usually present inside hotels, well not that I recall.

Definitely lots of repellent - esp when out around dusk. Hotel windows don;t typically open so you won't get then inside.

I don't recall too many mosquitoes in St. Petersburg. Just bring some stick repellent with you, a pressurized can might not get through airport security even in checked luggage.
