Moscow: Need lodging 2 nights
I am traveling to Moscow on a business Visa in late June. I am visiting only 3 nights, and my last night lodging is pre-arranged. I am staying in Leninsky Prospekt, Moscow but have no idea where it is http://www.expresstorussia.com/moscow_map.html. Can you help me identify where this is (NE, SW, East, etc.)?
I need to find a place to stay (e.g., hotel, hostel, private residence) for my first two nights, and need to get from SVO to a place of lodging for my first two nights. I have visited websites like: http://www.tourstorussia.com/en/acco...ons.php?page=1 and http://all-hotels.ru/rates.en.html?k...amp;rgn=moscow I am seeking a lodging recommendation---convenient and accessible to the subway. I have access to a guide when I get there, but need to have my first two nights lodging in place and a few [tourist] ideas in mind beforehand. Thanks. |
we stayed at a holiday inn outside the city one winter, that had free shuttle to airport, and free shuttle to town , and evening pick up . we would go back. the price was great, and they were very accomodating.

Leninskiy Prosp. is a long street/highway coming in from the SW, it becomes anothe street at Oktyabrskaya Pl and metro.

check out novotel hotel center in ST.peters.- is a block from Neusky Prospekt, very close from all sights.
I'm also using expresstorussia, excellent company-Marina is awsome. For maps , the west one I've found is in fodors miniguides |

I visited Moscow for 8 nights in early April of this year. I stayed at the Novotel City Centre located on Ulitsa (street) Novoslobodskaya. We found it to be a wonderful clean place, with an excellent breakfast every morning - buffet style - with every possible thing you could want. The service was excellent, people friendly and helpful, room was large and clean. Located near a metro (and a McDonald's!). If you go, try a French restaurant called Carre Blanc or an Italian one called Mia Piace - both really excellent with English translated menus and great service and food. Concierge will direct you. Have fun!
