Hello my frineds, My daughter and I will be travelling to Moscow at the end of july. Can anybody advice how much it cost a taxi from city center - around red square to Sheremetyevo airport - any suggestions of cab companies we can book in advance? Another question - Bolshoi Ballet will be closed when we arrive in Moscow, any advices regarding ballets? Tks so much

1. Unless, like nytraveler, you prefer to overpay for services, do not ask your hotel to help you with a taxi.
2. A taxi is not necessary to get you to the airport, as the previous poster mentioned, there is a perfectly good rail service from Belorusskaya, which is not far from the city centre. You can take the metro to get there from Red Square.
3. The traffic can be horrific, so if you really do want to go by taxi, allow plenty of time.

5. For ballet, try the Russian National Ballet Theatre as they might have a summer schedule.
