Hi MorganB or anyone else that can offer assistance. I'm trying to book tickets for a Paris - Frankfurt trip. I've been waiting for the new TGV line tickets but have also looked around for THAlys, ICE, etc.
I've followed MorganB's sound advice but each time I try to book a ticket I'm always returned to the SNCF homepage. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in anticipation.

Sorry, forgot to say the trip is for 26th June.

The big sales started yesterday on the www.voyages-sncf.com site. Paris-Frankfurt is being sold for 29€ but it sells out fast at that price. Tickets can be used until mid-August.

You may be trying to book too far ahead of time.

Just tried it -- the site is proposing a ticket for 58€. (Full fare is 128.50€)

Thanks Kerouac for your responses. Was that a TGV ticket? How did you get it?

I just tried it and I only get a ticket for 6.54pm at 74 euro on the ICE.
I'll need to leave Paris by 4pm at the latest. Plane leaves at 11.55pm for Australia.

SNCF shows an ICE leaving Paris-Est at 14h43 with a change in Saarbrucken. Gets you to Frankfurt at 19h15 for 67.00€.
