more site problems?

i have had great difficulty switching from one forum to another. I also have lost the messages down the left side and had problems logging in. This seems to be happening frequently now. Does anyone know what is causing all this?

Yes, me too Mary. It is quite frustrating. I hope they resolve it soon.

I did not seem to have anything like the same problems before registration.

Not only is this site a drag now,you can't even access it when you need some information. Bring back the old days.

It's taking forever to load anymore, never did that before. I agree, bring back the good old days.

As a relative old-timer on the site (1998, I think), let me assure you that there were problems in the past too. Hang in there. I'm sure they're pullling their hair out at HQ!

Plenty of problems in the (not too distant) past. For the past week, the site has been VERY slow.

Now I'm getting concerned.

I added a post to this message around 2:30 this afternoon and, checking back, I see it didn't show up.

In the 2:30 post, I mentioned a problem I had yesterday and today.

I wanted to add my thoughts to 'Wall Street Journal article on anti American feelings in EU'.

When I clicked on REPLY, it gave me no place to do so.

I assumed because of the somewhat political nature of the post, Fodor's had made it inaccesible to all of us.

Yet, later in the day, other people were able to get through.

With repeated tries yesterday and today, it won't allow me to reply.

Any thoughts on why this might be happening?

Thanks in advance for your responses.

Any time software is changed there are problems. I've been working with PCs since 1984, and whenever software is "improved" it's a huge mess. Fodors seems to be having more trouble than most with this "improvement." They probably took the low bid contractor without regard to their expertise.

I agree with Betsy - - there were problems like this, and WORSE, in the past.

Best wishes,

Rex
[email protected]
