I heard this bit on NPR this morning.... I did not open your link -
They certainly dont want panic over this but isnt it based on the intercepted packages from Yeman?

Wouldn't it be nice if this kind of news wasnt always clogging our air waves. I know ... keep dreaming - it is the age we live in unfortunately.

Apparently it's information that has been given since the packages. Decribed as "There are grounds for concern, but not for hysteria," All info in the link which is a nice safe BBC News website link...

The only visible measure is more and more heavily armed police at airports and train stations. The actual security screenings at the airport are the same and take as little or as much time as last week or last month.
