There are a ton! Look at any guidebook for assistance on the famous places such as Le Select et al. And on Rue Montparnasse it's Crepe City! Up and down this small block there are numerous creperies. Fodors has a great Paris App with each arrondissement's recommended restaurants. Finally, just walk... This neighborhood abounds with restaurants.

Thanks, Chevre, We'll try that. We're staying close to Bd Montparnasse and Bd Rapail, and looking at google streets there are many eateries. Thanks again

Also, take the paid elevator to the top of the Monparnasse tower.

One of the best sights of the city and a great view of the Eiffel Tower.

I believe Le Select is closed for renovation. La Rotonde, La Coupole, Le Dôme and Closerie des Lilas are the famous/historic ones, all a short walk from where you are staying. It's pretty much wall-to-wall restaurants along the boulevard.

I lived near there and miss it so much.

One advantage of the Montparnasse area is that the majority of the tourists there are French, who can often be very picky eaters -- so the restaurants must be up to their standards.

I was in Paris last week and stayed in Monoarnasse. Le Select was open. I went to La Coupole and it was very good. You can sit outside but inside is beautiful. As someone said there are a ton of restaurants and cafes and I haven't had a bad meal in any.
