Monterosso or Levanto??
I have been to the Cinque Terre a few times, always daytripping from some place else. This year, early June, I would like to stay in the Cinque Terre and enjoy some quiet evenings there. I am trying to keep my budget for a room at 100 euro..Hotel Punta Mesco in Monterosso is available, Levanto has a room at the Hotel Primavera. Cinque Terre Properties has emailed with an Apartment in Levanto..called Glicine...I am making myself TOO confused. Anyone with knowledge of these places? I have read a few good things about Levanto, although I have never been there..I would love to just to just go to Monterosso or Levanto and just find a room..but with Early June..I am a bit leary..getting old I guess...Any comments would be so greatfully appreciated! Ciao..Allison

We got a double room for under $60 euro in late June.
Check out options through this website:
http://www.welcometoitaly.com/Welcome/Liguria/Cinqueterre/index.uk.html

I'd try to stay in one of the 5 villages. We chose Riomaggiore but they all look wonderful! Good luck!
Villa Margherita in Levanto is a place you could check out. We stayed in 2001 for about 80 dollars a night. Nice place with nice hosts.

We're staying at Tonino Basso's in Vernazza in mid June. Haven't been there yet, but the photos on the web look good.
