monterosso boat tour
 

Has anyone taken one of the boat tours from Monterosso? We will have one day in Cinque Terre and I thought this might be a good introduction to the area. I was looking at Angelo's Boat Tours specifically. Thank you!

I have not taken the type of tour you mentioned, but the ferry from Monterosso to Portovenere provides a nice look at the area and the coastline -- no narration, of course. It stops at each town.

There is a ferry service that runs that route, stopping at 4 of the villages plus Portovenere. No need or a private charter.

Thank you for the ferry information, the tour is more than just transportation, you also get to stop for a lunch and a couple of times for swimming opportunities, has anyone done this?

Not to belabor the point, but if you took the ferry, you could get off at any town, have lunch and swim on your own, then pick up the next ferry. All, I'm certain, at a fraction of the cost of a tour.
