Montaione to Citta de Castello

We have read a lot about La Chiusa, a restaurant that is a little south of Citta de Castello. We will be driving from Montaione and would like to eat lunch there. On mapquest it looks like it almost a 3 hour drive. Has someone made this drive? and is it difficult for novice drivers in Italy with no Italian? and the scenery? we only have 7 days in this area and would like to use it wisely. any suggestions? thanks

Are you sure you do not mean La Chiusa the famed Michelin starred ristorante in Montefollinico. It would be about a 1:30 drive.

Bob,

We are interested in the La Chiusa in Montefollinico for lunch....we have read it is VERY expensive...any idea what "VERY" means???

that is what i was looking for, but this is the site i found.
http://www.lachiusa.com/eng.html

is this a different place? i do not see montefollinco listed on their site map. and Traviata, i had them send me a menu that i could paste here if that is appropriate. i asked them for a lunch menu and don't know if it's different for dinner, but the tasting menu was 44 euros.

Steve, thanks a lot. it was a different restaurant altogether. hmmmm, wonder which one was first. anyway, if their menu just listed prices, it might just be possible. don't want to have to wash the dishes if we can't afford it...

P Texas and Steve .....Not sure about location now, but I do want the Michelin starred one...a menu?? Perfect...I have read so many good things and every one was punctuated by the words "very expensive.....that is a relative term I know, so just want to have some idea.....44E for Michelin stars sounds too good to be true...
Thank you so much....

After looking further at the websites, it must be the Montefollico one...and the menu verifies that!!!!

Steve,

The reviews and cost are just what I anticipated...and sounds worth every penny...thank you again...

thank you so much for clearing that up for me. i had already emailed the location and menu of the other LaChuisa to my family to see if they wanted to go, touting it as one of the best resturants in italy. never spent $200 plus or anywhere near, for a meal, but it is a lot closer to where we'll be.

P Tex & Traviata - Sounds superb (- even if I'd have to win the lottery ...)

Do post back if you go :)
