Montaione, Fl in Tuscany: Close by attractions, restaurants, towns?
Hi, We will be staying in Montaione, Fl for 4 nights in late July. We have a couple half days, and time after meeting (evening) to explore nearby places.
We know San Gimignano and Volterra are 30 mins away so are considering those on the 1/2 days but would like any suggestions on restaurants in scenic settings, farms etc that are close by..
Thanks,
S

Is a half day 4 hours?
Volterra would be close to an hour's drive away. Montaione to Certaldo would be about the same distance as to San Gimignano, but I doubt you could reach either in 30 minutes. More like 45. Also, you can't drive into the center of any of these towns, so you'll spend a little additional time walking into and out of the city centers from wherever you park the car.

meeting starts at 1 PM and was hoping to do something that morning but maybe not..
any places nearby for dinner? i.e. on a vineyard or a farm?
