I agree 100% with you, Bob. As one of the first people to organize GTGs for area Fodorites (as well as to link up with fellow travellers when in Europe), she's helped start up a lot of good in-person friendships, and enhanced our social life, for sure.

Monica's kindness extends beyond travel advice. Her words of support after my father's sudden death and my husband's battle with a devastating condition were words from the heart and as such, very comforting. It's a gift to share this forum with people like her.

It is people like Monica that make this a great site. Thanks, thanks, thanks.

yes, I can personally vouch that Monica is awesome - I live near DC so I usually manage to make it to the GTGs she organizes... she's really helped pull the members together from this site!<BR><BR>Beth

OH MY GOD!!! Bob, you are too much! I received an email from Teri (on my web site) saying "...great things are being said about you on the Fodors Travel talk - check out the thread about you...." I am overwhelmed at everyone's comments about me and certainly appreciative. I thank you all so much for your friendship! Wow! It's been a while since I dropped in at Fodor's, and I'm SO pleased to see the recognition that one of my favorite posters is receiving! Monica P. helped make our first trip to Paris stress free and wonderful, and she even e-mailed me afterward and invited me to go along on another trip with her! I've never actually met her, but it's not hard to recognize those truly special, giving, kind people in the world when you meet them, even just online. Count me in as another fan of Monica and Tony. :)

Well, count me in the fan club too. Monica and I send e-mails back and forth fairly often. Her Web site inspired me to create my own, and I introduced her to Homestead.com, so we talk about those and other things quite regularly. She also started a trend with the Fodors get togethers that has really caught on with a lot of us and enriched our travel experiences in the process.

Count me in as a FAN of Monica's site ..I have enjoyed every minute I have been able to spend there. AND I am going back!!<BR>Thanks, Monica
