money, shopping, clubs, etc

A friend and i will be traveling to prague for a 10-day stay with our friend who lives there. although i expect him to help us plan our time there, can anyone give a synopsis of the best of the best in regards to sites, clubs, shopping? also curious as to where the best place to exchange money would be? are ATMs the best place to get cash? one more thing--anyone heard of sakopana (resort town in poland -- supposed to be beautiful)?

Yes to ATM's for cash (sorry never been to Prague but I think this is a pretty safe answer for most locales these days).

Run4eva7: suze answered your ATM/cash question. If you want answers to the others you should post a new thread w/ Prague in the title. Otherwise people won't know what yoy are asking about.

(I only opened your thread because I thought it might be about London)

oops - should read " . . you are asking about."

Well, Miss Thing, you need to do a search and bring up my trip report on Prague <Pancaky Papers: Thingorjus in Praha>. Other Fodorites consider it the "bible" on Prague. I can tell you that the best restaurant in Prague is David in Mala Strana, close to the US Embassy.

I think the town in Poland you are referring to is Zakopane. It was a favourite of the late, great Art Hussey.

PS What kind of shoes are you going to wear in Prague. Don't wear Prada or you will be chastised by mkindgdom. :)
