Mondays in Venice

It so turns out.. my iternary forces me to spend MOnday (day and night) in Venice. I know a lot of cities are closed on Mondays.. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what I will miss out on since my visit will fall on a MOnday?

Thanks

I have been in Venice last september and I noticed that on SUNDAY many shops were closed, others with reduced opening hours, but on monday they were all open. In Rome on the other hand on monday morning shops are closed but as far as I know it is not so in Venice. I know that on monday the museums are closed.....

A good part of a visit to Venice is exploring the city itself. Churches will be open for their usual weekday hours. Since it is a tourist city, many strors and restaurants will be open as well. Use this possibly slower day to wander, get lost, and find your own hidden restaurant discovery.

The Accademia closes early (2pm I think) on Mondays. Other than that, I don't recall other things closed on Mon. Most shops close between 1-4pm every day.
