Monastère de la Visitation?

Hello!

Could anyone tell us the simplest way to get to the Monastère de la Visitation,68 bis avenue Denfert-Rochereau? We will be staying near Montmartre, closest metro St. Georges. Can we get to the monastery by metro?

Thanks!

For an exact answer, go to

www.ratp.fr

Click on International Passengers to get the English version, then on Itinerary. A page will come up that lets you enter your points of departure and arrival. You will then get precise instructions.

Take the métro line 12 to Pasteur and transfer to line 6 to go to Denfert-Rochereau. Your address will be between the Denfert-Rochereau station and the RER Port-Royal station, an easy walk.

I suggest taking a map with you to look at when you come out of the metro. The Denfert Rochereau stop is at a large square, and I think the metro stop may have more than one entrance or exit, so depending where you are when you emerge from underground, you'll need to orient yourself before walking on.

As I recall - and it has been many, many years since I have been in Paris, a city that I heartily dislike - I know, I know: I'm prepared for the flaming - every Metro exit has a map of the surrounding area.

Let's try not to complicate things more than they deserve.

Eloise is correct. Each station has a map of the quartier which should allow you to orient yourself. And follow the traffic signs for St. Michel, Luxembourg or Port-Royal.
