Monaco Grand Prix question
 

I will be going to the grand prix this year and was wondering if someone who has been there could tell me how hard it is to get around the streets. I know there are lots of stairs but if we have seats at Place St. Devote, is there an elevator or escaltor nearby to get back to the train station. We are an older couple and not capable of walking hundreds of stairs. Thanks!

I can not afford the circuit tickets, how hard is it to get around the streets just off the circuit, on raceday, without tickets or passes?
Is it possible to access the Palace square and watch the race from there or is that also a ticket to view situation?

If you want to catch any of the GP action, I suggest you go on practice days earlier in the week before the qualifying, when there is general access to the circuit. On the Sunday itself, you stand zero chance of catching any action without a pass or reserved seat, as access is severely limited. The centre of Monte Carlo is effectively closed to all but official pass or ticket holders. If you have to go and can't afford a grandstand ticket (from 300-400 euro), then general admission ticket (70-80 euro) gets you into a hill, where if you are lucky you can find a spot to watch a bit of the action, but it's very crowded with thousands of people, not much room and you have to sit on sharp rocks for several hours to claim your spot.

Are there any good cafes to watch the race on tv?
