All pubs in Ireland are required by law to post their drink prices up for all the see. Interesting, Jo. I guess it's happened to me so often that I never thought of reporting it. It even happened to me at the pub in the village where my husband grew up. We've spent a lot of time there, and the bar staff knows me, but in April when I was there, there was a new barman, who overcharged me. Actually, I've gotten to the point where I just make my husband get all of our rounds, but every so often I have to go to the bar. And he's been in the US long enough where his accent is softening a bit, so sometimes he's mistaken for an American.

Clarence Hotel , looks lovely and the bar is great (full of posers, but it's really nicely designed) but I think it's pretty pricey. But if you have money to burn try and book the penthouse!!
