Actually, northeast, no one said "young boy" which was the term that set you off. "Boy" was used and so was "young guy," both of which could easily mean a male over 18. Why are you so determined to read something into this that isn't there?

Thanks, Marilyn. Indeed, "young boy" was the term in question. Boys can be of any age; in the UK, you'll find quite a few old boys of 90 and 100.
