Misano, Italy
We are going to be in Misano, Italy on business and would like to take a day or two for exploring. Never been to Europe before. Does anybody know anything about Misano? What would you suggest we do on our free days? Venice? Too far? Any help would be appreciated. We are going in early June. Thanks.

Richard, I think it is Adriatica. It is my nephew who is going and I don't know where they are flying. He is going to the Ducati motorcycles manufactuirng plant. They say they are in Misano and other things say Bologna. I don't know if Misano is a small town near Bologna or exactly what the deal is but I'm trying to get some information for him. Does this help at all? <BR>...Marie

If it is Ducati, it woulld be Misano, Modena. Your choices are almost limitless. Bologna itself is a great place to explore, but a lot of people dismiss its charms, which are not as in-your-face as is Florence or Venice. This is fine with me as the city is not inundated by tourists. But, from Bologna, you are about 2:40 minutes from Venice by train. And about an hour or and hour and a half from Florence, depending on what train you take. It all depends on what you want to do, because you are so close to so many places. You could even get down to Rome. You are also close to Ravenna if Byzantine moasaics are your thing. Try www.fs-on-line.com for train schedules.
