Mirabel's guides

I keep reading recommendations for Mirabel's guides. I am going to Spain soon - especially Barcelona, Madrid and environs like Toledo, Segovia. Does anyone know how I can obtain these wonderful guides?
Also, can anyone advise how to travel to Toledo, Segovia, L'Escorial, possibly Avila. Do I have to go separately to each from Madrid or is there a way to get from one to another by bus or train? Can anyone suggest the best way to do this?
Thanks in advance.

hi, huamulan,

just google "maribel's guides" and you can access them that way.

for train travel try the spanish railway website at www.renfe.com which should get you started.

happy planning,

regards, ann

As far as I can recall, L'Escorial and Avila are on the same train line, but you have to go back to Madrid for Toledo and Segovia.

Zerlina, thanks for the link. I had the web address but for some reason it didn't work, but your hotlink did.
If I take a train to Segovia, can I take one from there to Avila or Salamanca? Is there a bus between Segovia and Toledo? Is there a train between Salamanca and Toledo?
Thanks again.

When I went to Spain a few years ago, there was a bus from Segovia to Avila. I don't know about the other connections you mention, but found The Rough Guide to Spain very useful for that kind of information. Hope that helps!
