Miniskirts in Barcelona

Some fashion police have said "don't wear
miniskirts in Barcelona". Or does this just apply to certain conservative areas of town?Do locals wear them and if so when and where?

Young women wear miniskirts all over europe.

Whether or not you should depends on your age and size (nothing worse than mutton dressed as lamb - esp chubby mutton).

umm i think i have to slightly disagree.. on my contiki trip we were advised not to underdress too much just because you may attract some unwanted attention

Is it me, or there is some some contradiction here. Why would a woman underdress, unless to attract some attention?

Precisely - if you dress like Britney and Paris it;s because you want all the attention. If you don;t want a lot of public atention from men then you shouldn;t be walking around half (or mostly) naked. But then - aren;t young women looking for the attention?

In any case - mini skirts (vs micro minis with no panties and thigh-high boots) are popular everywhere in europe and won;t get you any more attention than they would in the US.
