Mimosas in bloom

Mimosas can be in bloom about anytime actually, but most of the wild ones have full bloom about now.
Bormes les Mimosas, southearn east of France organizes a kind of carnival on the mimosa theme.
It is a nice evenement and the region is full of yellow, of all shades.

Here the last one. that took place last sunday. We went once, but this time were satisfied with just staying around and looking at our own mimosas.

I recommend taking a walk from Bormes or from Grimaud - just go to the old castle (in ruin) and some superb trails start there. Mimosas, landscapes, views... you get everything there.

I was disappointed I could not buy any this year. usually available at this time. My florist said they were too small so he passed on them

This real one looks more athletic. I hope I wouldn't have to jump after her to take a picture ^_^
