I've visited MILOS twice in late may, stayed once in Pollonia. it was just opening up ... Pollonia had about 3 tavernas going, including one noted for seafood... no nightlife to speak of. Its beach is "fair". These days, since I read that Greece is experiencing its biggest tourism year ever, perhaps things will be livelier earlier - but I don't think the number of tavernas will increase. In Milos, you face a dilemma -- Adamas has by far the most choice, but its beach is really N.G. If u r planning to rent a car or an ATV (brave person), u will have access to many many beaches. Then u also could stay in Pollonia & go to Adamas for dining & nightlife. The drawback - if you enjoy a glass o' wine or 3, not so much fun driving back on totally unlit roads. (Fortunately the driver in our party was an abstainer). So ... your choice.
