Millennium Knightsbridge Hotel
 

Did a search on this hotel and did not find too much. It has been rated (perhaps by itself) as a "four star luxury" property.

Any recent impressions of this hotel are appreciated.

I stayed at a different one I liked very much, the Millennium Bailey's, so can't comment on Knightbridge. If it's the same level, it is 4* but I don't know about luxury. To me, that is really something special.

BTW, I read in a travel article that Radisson Edwardian is opening a new hotel around Marble Arch that should be that level, and they are giving big discounts until 9/11/2003.

If you couldn't find much, I suspect you may have searched wrong. The above suggested search string won't work optimally, either, because that is often not the way someone would refer to the hotel with the word hotel at the end of it (that makes it a mandatory phrase if you write it that way)--drop the hotel part as it is superfluous, and simply search for millennium knightbridge or more optimally millennium AND knightsbridge, and I'd try the same thing spelling it millenium as that word is often misspelled.

I stayed there 2 years ago and it was fine. Staff friendly and helpful. It's right around the corner from Harrods and not far from Sloan Square.

I don't normally stay in hotels like this; I prefer boutique hotels. It's very similar to a Marriott or Hyatt so I wasn't overly impressed.

The closest underground was a block away but you couldn't use it outbound before 9:30 because of the heavy inbound traffic. They were going to renovate the station. Perhaps that has changed now.

The street is full of high-priced, designer shops which makes for interesting window shopping.

Although they do have air conditioning it didn't work very well and was offset by a heated towel bar in the bathroom which could not be turned off. It was quite warm and muggy (outside) and we needed the AC. The room was comfortable enough to sleep although I would have prefered it to be a bit cooler.
