Millennium Bailey's - London
I am planning to go to London in June and I received a name of a hotel from London.com. Has anyone heard of the Millennium Bailey's hotel in London. Is it a good location and nice hotel?

I have passed this hotel many times, it looks quite nice from the outside. I happen to love this area of London and always stay there, for over 30 years!. You are within a 5 minute walk to Glouster rd tube , maybe 8 min to South Ken tube, lots of restaurants , also near Old Brompton Rd , Fulham Rd and Kings Rd, we walk to them all and I think we maybe older than you! Vand A, Nat'l. history museums, Harrods , Beauchamp Pl, Sloane Sq are not out of range , maybe 15 minutes. Very convenient, but as I said I have not stayed at Baileys , just seen it. have fun
email if you have any questions about area

Thanks for the information on the Bailey's Hotel in London. We are so looking forward to our trip and you helped us feel more confident in our choice.

One question, from Heathrow Airport what is the best way to get to Glouster Road?

Karen,
We leave for our London/Paris trip this Friday and will be staying at Milennium Bailey's in London! When I return I will post to let you know how it was. Our travel agent recommended it...it seems like it has fine accomodations. As Jody responded, I have heard it is a good area to be in.
I'll let some experienced traveler answer your transportation question as this is our first trip to London. We are flying into Gatwick and will probably take taxi to hotel, thinking we'll be way too tired to take the train.
Good luck! I'll post when I return!
Take the Heathrow express train from Heathrow, tickets at station which is inside arrival terminal. to Paddington and TAKE A TAXI. Don't even think about the tube with your luggage. It will proably be about $12.00 US and worth every cent! When you go back home you can check your luggage and pick up your boading pases at Paddington and go off the Heathrow unencumbered. get a round trip ticket, they call it a return ticket, it will save yupu a few pounds and some time on departure. HAve a super time, we were just there last month and had a great time but I'm missing it already. email if you have any otheer questions
Mary, The train is almost easier than a taxi, its about 50 pounds into London one way. The train is 22pounds per person round trip. Thenn we get a taxi at Victoria to our hotel. Really no problem. Taxi to South ken area about $7.00
