Millenium Knightsbridge London
 

Has anyone stayed here recently? Is the hotel in a good location for general sight-seeing? I found it at a rate of 59 pounds per night for mid-February on Londontown.com. Thanks for any input!

Kathy, we stayed at the Millenium Baileys in Gloucester Road in November. Is that the one you mean? We also found it via londontown.com, were very pleased with the price and the hotel. <BR><BR>Location is great -- next to Gloucester Rd tube station, in real "neighborhood" with cafes, pubs, a supermarket etc. Plus you can walk, bus or tube a short distance to V&A, Natural History museum, Harrods, and other great places to visit. We'd stay there again.

The public areas have a modern style, while the rooms have a more classic decor.<BR><BR>the standard rooms are a little cramped, but the amenities are great, as is the location: nearly across the streeet is Harvey&Nichols and there are many designer stores at Sloane St.. Harrod's is about two blocks and a half from the hotel, and Knightsbridge metro station is less than two blocks.<BR><BR>When I was there, I paid 114 B. Pounds plus VAT for a single room, and it was a promotional rate, so I guess that 59 Pounds is a great deal. Grab it!<BR><BR>Regards,<BR><BR>S

Stayed there a few years ago. Excellant location on Sloane St in the midst of the big designer shops. This is a typical chain hotel but the rate is a steal. You are very close to Brompton Rd and the Knightsbridge underground station. There is also access to several bus lines. You can walk to the Victoria Albert Museum, South Kensington, Sloane Square and Kings Road. Notting Hill with Portobello Market, Picadilly, Oxford and Regent Sts and the West End are scenic short bus rides.

Thank you for all the prompt responses! I thought that the rate was very good but can't decide if I would prefer a smaller, boutique hotel. Unfortunately, none of the boutigque hotels are offering any great deals.
