Mild Weather Spot in Europe for New Years.

Hi everyone!!!

Any suggetsons for a 2 1/2 week trip around Christmas / New Years? I'm a seasoned traveller who's been to Europe many times already. Looking for <<mild>> weather. Any suggestions? I'll be travelling by myself.

Thanks in advance.

Ross.

Ross, Mild is hard to find in Europe that time of year. I would consider Sicily and Malta or perhaps Crete.

The best weather ranking no doubt is for Canary and Madeira Islands. Superb weather there but also high season ( prices might be high ). In the Mediterranean, changing weather but sometimes warm ( around 60-50F ) in Crete, Malta, Southern Sicily, Murcia and Andalusian Coast.

How about Morocco? Not in Europe but it is so easy to get there from many places in Europe

I was in Morocco several years ago in December and found it quite chilly (like NY in late March -- very mercurial). Would not go there for warm weather, but if a jacket and jeans works well for you, it would be a good choice.

Have heard great things about the Canary Islands. Another choice could be Cape Verde.
