milan trip
 

We are 2 middle age women traveling to northern Italy for 7 or 10 days. WE like cities but also beauty. We don wish to s=go south of lake Como. We will also be renting a car any suggestions would be great

Hate to break it to you, but Milan is south of Lake Como.

If you don't want to go South of Lake Como, I suggest you visit Switzerland.

You could certainly visit the various lakes in the Milan/Lombardy region such as Lake Como or, as someone suggested, go further north and into Switzerland (a relatively short train ride from Milan). It might be helpful if you gave a little more info on your likes, etc.
