Milan to Turin
We will be flying into Malpensa Airport and then immediately heading to Turin. We would like to take the train, but the train station is actually in the center of Milan, while Malpensa is outside the city towards Turin! So, instead of going all the way into Milan to catch the train to take us back out past the airport (seems like some backtracking to us) I am trying to see if there is a train stop near Malpensa or in a city/town that might be closer to the airport. At this point, to avoid the backtrack, it looks like we might be better off taking the bus.

There are no direct trains between Malpensa and Torino. You could change trains somewhere else, before arriving in Milan, such as Busto Arsizio, but the trip would take longer, because the trains between Milan and Torino are high-speed trains, while all the others would be slow regional trains most of the way.
The fastest route is to take the airport train to Milano Porta Garibaldi, and catch a Frecciarossa train from there.

During the Turin olympics a fast and direct train link Malpensa-Novara-Turin was experimented but it was soon suspended due to poor patronage. There should be a few shuttle buses between Malpensa and Turin. But probably train through Milan is still the fastest solution.

The coach from Malpensa to Turin is fast and comfortable. If the train looks like connections might be hard or take a lot of time, it's really o.k. Here is the schedule: http://www.sadem.it/media/5191/000020.pdf
