Milan to Chamonix by bus

Hello!

I'm considering to take the Savda bus from Milan to Chamonix this June. The schedule on their website is:
7:15am - depart Lampugnano station. Arrive Courmayeur at 10:45am.
10:45am depart Courmayeur to Chamonix.

Does anyone know if the bus in Courmayeur will wait for the bus from Lampugnano if it ran late? I'm worried because there's not enough time for bus changes when I get to courmayeur.

What a horrible thought, all that way in a bus.

You can glide through the Alps on a train from Milan to Martigny then on the little narrow-gauge train to Vallorcine and Chamonix-Mont Blanc. A delight.

Book Milan-Martigny at www.trainline.eu or www.sbb.ch then buy a local ticket to Chamonix at Martigny.

Many buses are quite nice and comfortable, riding a bus is not by definition "horrible" compared to a train. I've taken many comfortable buses in various countries (like Spain, Mexico and the US). It is only about half the cost and takes a little less time, I suppose that would be a reason to choose it. The train requires two transfers, also.

@jft99 I think you are reading the bus schedule wrong, I think the changeover in Courmeyer is about an hour, isn't it?

Isn't this the schedule?

The second set of bars is from Italy, the top set is going from Chamonix to Milan. If you go on the Savda website and do a ticket search, it also shows you those times (7:15 am - 10:45, change, then 12:00-12:45.

Thank you for your replies! The reason I'm considering the bus is because there's fewer changes and it's cheaper.

@Christina the bus schedule that you showed does not include May onwards. I will be travelling on June 21. And when I try to book it, it says "Travel solution can't be sold". The next departure time at Courmayeur is at 3:45. I really want to take the 10:45 departure but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to the bus on time.

Don't worry, the Chamonix bound bus will not leave before the arrival of the bus from Milan - Aosta. Otherwise it would have to leave almost empty.
